The North Western Cachar Tea Company Ltd.

Our office is on the 3rd floor at 16A Brabourne Road. We are very close to the Tea Board building which makes sense for what we do. The North Western Cachar Tea Company Ltd. has been operating from this spot for a while now. Brabourne Road is always incredibly crowded with traffic and people selling things on the sidewalk. It is a loud and energetic part of the city. Once you get up to the third floor, things get a bit quieter. We have windows that look out over the street and you can see the tops of the buses going by. The office is full of old files and the sound of people talking on phones. We don't have anything fancy in here. Just some sturdy desks and old chairs. We focus on the logistics of the tea business. There is always a lot of correspondence to handle and numbers to check. We drink a lot of tea ourselves while we work. It’s just the way it is. People come and go throughout the day for meetings or to drop off documents. We know the tea trade is a big industry but here in our office it feels very small and personal. We just do our bit every day and then head home when the sun sets over the city buildings. It can be a long day but the work is steady and we have a good group here.
