The Ananda-Bag Tea Co. Ltd.

Our office is located in Everest House on Jawaharlal Nehru Road. It is a tall building and we are up on the 11E floor. The Ananda-Bag Tea Co. Ltd. has been operating out of this space for a long time. Dealing with tea involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls, so that is mostly what goes on here. You can see the city traffic from the windows if you look out. It gets a bit noisy outside, but inside we just focus on the daily tasks. Tea is a complicated business with many moving parts, from the gardens to the final shipping. We spend a lot of time coordinating with different people. It isn't always smooth and sometimes the phones don't stop ringing. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks and files piled up. We have a small team here who knows the routine. 46/C is a well-known address in this part of town. People come by for meetings or just to drop off documents. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just handle the tea trade as it comes. It's a lot of work and sometimes we stay late to finish everything. But being in the middle of the city makes things accessible for everyone we work with. We've been here so long that the walls are covered in old calendars and tea posters.
