The Ananda Bag Tea Co. Ltd.

Our office is located at 11-E, Everest House, which is at 46/C, Jawaharlal Nehru Road. It’s a well-known building in a very busy part of the city. Being at The Ananda Bag Tea Co. Ltd. means we are surrounded by the history of the tea trade every single day. The office has that old-school feel to it, with wooden cabinets and stacks of paper everywhere you look. It’s not one of those modern, glass-walled offices you see in magazines. We have heavy desks and chairs that have probably been here longer than some of the staff. The noise from the traffic on JN Road is a constant background sound, but after a while, you don't even notice it anymore. We spend our time checking on tea shipments and dealing with all the logistics that go along with it. It’s a lot of phone calls and ledger entries. Sometimes the place smells faintly of dried tea leaves, which is a nice change from the city air outside. We don’t have a big marketing department or a flashy website team. It’s just us handling the day-to-day operations of the tea company. We take our afternoon tea breaks seriously, usually just sitting around one of the desks and talking about work or whatever else is on our minds. It’s a steady, traditional kind of workplace where we just focus on getting things right without making a big fuss.
