Our little tea spot is located at House Number 26 in Niz Baghmari. It’s a quiet enough area most days, and that’s where we handle all our tea business. We don't have a massive warehouse or anything like that. Instead, we use the space we have to sort through the leaves and get everything ready for the market. The building is just a regular house that we’ve converted to fit our needs. You’ll usually see a couple of motorbikes parked out front and maybe a small truck loading up some sacks. The rooms inside are filled with the scent of dried tea leaves, which is actually quite nice to work in. We spend our mornings checking the quality of what comes in from the gardens. It’s mostly just us sitting around a table, tasting different brews and deciding what stays and what goes. The paperwork gets done on a small desk in the corner when we have a spare moment. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. Our neighbors know us well, and sometimes they pop in just to see what’s new. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just like tea and we spend our time making sure it gets where it needs to go. The rainy season can be a bit of a pain with the leaks, but we manage. We just keep the kettle on and keep working until the sun sets.
