Our spot at 10 Middleton Row is tucked away a bit from the main noise of the city, which is nice. It’s an older building, and we’ve been on this floor for quite some time now. When you come up, you’ll see we have a lot of tea chests just sitting around in the hallway sometimes because we run out of space in the main room. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us trying to keep everything moving. We spend our days tasting different batches and writing down notes that probably only we can read. The furniture is a bit mismatched, and the clock on the wall has been five minutes fast for years, but nobody bothers to fix it. We don't really have a big sign out front, so you have to know where you are going to find us. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time, except when the auctions are happening and everyone is trying to be in three places at once. We handle a lot of the logistics ourselves, from the gardens to the final destination. It’s just honest work in a part of town that still feels a bit like the old days. We don't put on a show for anyone; we just do our job. There is always a stray cat or two hanging around the entrance, and we sometimes give them a bit of milk when we have extra.
