Tea & Allied Impex

Tea & Allied Impex is located at 1/1 Goragacha Road in New Alipore. This part of Kolkata is always busy, and Goragacha Road especially has a lot of commercial movement. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now. Our place is more of a warehouse and office combined. It’s where all the tea and related items come through before they get sent off for export or distribution. It’s not a fancy boutique; it’s a place of work. There’s usually a bit of tea dust in the air and the sound of tape dispensers as we pack things up. We deal with a lot of different people, from the guys driving the trucks to the folks interested in shipping tea overseas. It’s a lot of logistical stuff, checking weights and making sure the paperwork is right. The building itself is an older one, like many in this part of New Alipore, so it has that solid, heavy feel to it. We don't have a big sign or anything, just our name on the door and the work going on inside. It’s a practical business. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks as long as the tea is moving and the orders are correct. It’s just how we’ve always done things here, keeping it straightforward and making sure the work gets done every single day. The heat can get pretty bad in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going.
