The office is tucked away at 5/1, Kali Kundu Lane in Howrah. If you know the area, you know those lanes can be pretty narrow and a bit of a maze if you aren't careful. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time, and it has a very old-school feel to it. It’s not one of those glass buildings you see in the new parts of the city. Here, it’s mostly just brick and concrete, and the sounds of the street come right in through the windows. We spend our days going over engineering plans and dealing with the usual daily stuff that comes with running a business like Tce Consulting Engineers Ltd. Sometimes the power goes out or it gets a bit too humid, but we just keep going. We have a few desks and some old wooden chairs that have seen better days. It feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we know the local shops and where to get the best snacks during our breaks. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. It is just a place where we put in our hours and try to stay on top of the work. The walls are a bit dusty, and the floors are worn down from people walking back and forth. We have a lot of old files stacked in the corners because we haven't got around to throwing them out yet. It’s just how things are at our Howrah branch.
