T & I Limited

We are based at 19, R.N. Mukherjee Road and our office is on the second floor. This part of Kolkata has a lot of history, and you can see it in the thick walls and the architecture of the building. The ceilings are very high, which is nice because it stays a bit cooler in the summer months. We have these big windows that look out onto the street, but we usually keep the blinds down because the sun can be quite sharp. T & I Limited has been in this spot for a long time now. The floors are a bit worn down from people walking back and forth over the years. We have heavy wooden desks and old filing cabinets that have definitely seen better days. It’s not a modern glass-and-steel office, but it has a lot of character that we appreciate. Every afternoon, the sound of the city traffic filters in through the glass. We mostly deal with paperwork and managing our different projects from this room. There’s a small pantry area where we make tea or coffee, and that’s where most of the talk happens. We don’t have a fancy receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who has arrived. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we stay busy enough with our tasks. The stairs up to the second floor are wide and made of stone, and we share the building with a few law firms and other traders.
