You will find us on the 4th floor of the building at 62 Bentinck Street. This is a very old part of Kolkata, and the building itself has a lot of history to it. Bentinck Street is famous for its shoe shops and all the traffic that flows through toward Esplanade. Getting up to the 4th floor can be a bit of a chore if the old lift is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. Our office is a series of rooms filled with desks and a lot of paperwork. Since we are in the nexgen business, we have some computers and gadgets around, but the setting is still very traditional. The windows look out over the street, and if you open them, you get all the noise of the buses and the trams. It’s a very lively atmosphere. We spend our days mostly in meetings or typing away at the keyboards. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery or a file that needs signing. We have a small pantry where we make tea several times a day, which is pretty much essential for us. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floorboards creak a little, but it’s a comfortable enough place to work. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to stay productive despite the humid weather and the chaos of the city outside our doors.
