Swapananda Variety Stores

I have been here in Netajinagar for a good while now. The shop is right in Ganganagar, and most people around Kolkata 700132 know exactly where it is. It isn't a huge place, just a regular variety store where we keep a bit of everything on the shelves. Sometimes the stock gets a bit disorganized when it is busy, but that is just how it goes. I spend most of my mornings dusting the glass jars and checking what needs to be ordered for the next week. The street outside can get quite noisy with the rickshaws and people walking by to the main market. We have those tall wooden racks that reach the ceiling, and I usually need a small stool to get things down from the top. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so I keep a small fan going behind the counter. People stop in for small things like a packet of biscuits or maybe some stationery for their kids. It is just a simple routine every day. We open up early, sweep the front step, and wait for the first few customers. There is always someone coming in to ask for change or just to check if we have a specific brand of soap. I do not try to make it look fancy. It is a practical shop for the people living nearby in Netajinagar. Sometimes I sit on the wooden bench outside when it is quiet. Life moves at its own pace here.
