Cmg Mushroom Project

We have been doing this mushroom thing at Cmg Mushroom Project for a while now. It is located right over in Bira Balab Para, which is a quiet enough spot if you know where to look. My brother and I started it because we just liked growing things, and mushrooms seemed like a good challenge compared to regular vegetables. It gets pretty humid here, but that is actually helpful for what we do. We spend most of our mornings checking on the bags and making sure the temperature is just right. It is not a fancy office or anything, just a workspace where we get our hands dirty. Sometimes the delivery truck shows up late, or we have to fix a cooling fan that decided to quit on us in the middle of the night. That is just how it goes when you are running a small operation like this. People from the neighborhood stop by sometimes to see what is growing. We do not have a big sign out front, so you kind of have to know where Bira Balab Para is to find us. It is a lot of physical work, lifting heavy crates and keeping everything clean, but it keeps us busy. We are not trying to be the biggest place around, just trying to keep the mushrooms growing well every season. It is funny how much you learn about fungi when you are looking at them every single day. We just stay focused on the work here.
