Being on the second floor means we get a little less of the street noise, though you can still hear the horns honking down below if the windows are open. The lift works most of the time, but some people like taking the stairs for the exercise. We have been here in Kolkata - for a bit, handling all sorts of eye stuff for the people around Survey Park. It’s mostly just routine checkups and fixing up prescriptions for people who can't see the road or their books. The space inside is plain, just some desks and the equipment we need for the exams. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights inside. It is just a quiet place where we do our work. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic on Mondays when everyone decides to show up at once. We just ask people to grab a seat and wait their turn. We know most of the regulars by name now. It’s funny how you get used to the rhythm of a place like this.
