Sumit Tea Services

Our office is over in Todi Chamber on Lalbazar Street. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and noisy with people rushing around. We’ve been operating Sumit Tea Services from this spot for quite some time now. It’s a traditional kind of place, nothing like those modern glass buildings you see popping up in other parts of the city. We deal with tea, which means there are always samples sitting around on the desks in little jars. Our day-to-day is mostly talking to suppliers and making sure the orders go out to where they belong. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is. The hallways in the building are narrow, and you can always hear the traffic from the street downstairs. We don't really do big advertisements or anything promotional. Most people find us because they’ve been working with us for years or heard about us from someone else in the tea trade. It’s a bit dusty, and the paperwork piles up on the desks sometimes, but that’s just how business goes in a place like Lalbazar. We take our tea seriously, though we don't talk about it in a fancy way. We just know what tastes right and what doesn't. We keep the kettle going for anyone who drops in for a chat. It’s a small operation, just a few of us trying to keep things moving in the heart of the city. No frills, just tea and work.
