This company, Soumen Software Service Private Limited, is really a local effort. We are based out in Bangaon, specifically in Shaktigarh. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city of Kolkata, but we like it here. The office is located near the 1 Mile Post on Chakdah Road. It’s a quiet village area compared to the big city. The company was started by the family of the late Samir Sarkar, and it’s still run with that same feeling. We do software work, which sounds high-tech for a village, but we make it work. It’s named after Soumen, and we take the work seriously. Being in Parganas North-743235 means we know everyone around here. Our neighbors are farmers and small shop owners. We aren't in a big glass office building. It’s a more traditional setting, maybe a bit old-fashioned to some, but it suits us fine. There’s no big corporate ladder here. If something needs fixing, we just fix it. We work on various software projects as they come in. It’s a steady pace of life. Sometimes the power goes out when it rains hard, which happens a lot in West Bengal, so we just wait it out or use the generator. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't have a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just work and keep the place going for the community and our families.
