We have been operating Sorish Mitra out of this place at 21/B, Panchanantala Lane for a while now. If you know Amherst Street, you know how these little side lanes can be a bit tricky to navigate. Our spot is tucked away here, and sometimes people walk right past the main entrance without even noticing we are there. It is an old part of the city, and you can really see it in the way the old bricks look and how the whole neighborhood feels in the evening. Inside, it is mostly just us doing our daily tasks and keeping things moving. There isn't much to say about the decor because it is really just a practical place where the work gets done. We have some basic desks, some old wooden chairs, and a lot of papers stacked up in various corners. Sometimes the humidity in Kolkata makes everything feel a bit heavy and damp, but we just open up the windows and carry on with what we are doing. The neighbors are mostly quiet people, except when there is a festival or some kind of local event going on in the lane. We don't really do much in the way of big advertisements or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning, do what needs to be done, and then head home when it starts to get dark. It is a quiet existence on Panchanantala Lane. We know the regulars who walk by every day.
