We set up Smcm Digital Media (Opc) Private Limited right here in Raghudebbati West. It is based out of Mofidul Mullick’s place in Sankrail, Howrah. If you know the area, you know it is a bit of a walk from the main road. We started this small thing because we wanted to work on media stuff without having to travel all the way into the city every day. The office isn't much to look at, just a regular space where we keep our computers and try to get things done. Most days it is quiet, which is how we like it. We have been here for a bit now, just figuring things out as we go. Sometimes the power goes out, but we manage. Sankrail is a decent place to be based. We aren't trying to be some giant company or anything. It’s just us doing our daily tasks. People around here know where the house is. We usually have tea in the afternoons and talk about what needs finishing by evening. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy signs or a big lobby. Just the address in Howrah 711310. It feels right to be local. We deal with digital things but the physical world here is very grounded. There are a few of us who handle the workload. It’s nice not having a boss in a suit breathing down your neck. We just do the work without any fuss or complicated rules. It works for us.
