Finding us isn't too hard if you know where Old China Bazar Street is. We are up on the 4th floor, Room No 401 to be exact. The building has that old Kolkata feel to it, with stairs that have seen better days. Skmk Flour Mills Industries Private Limited has been operating from this little corner for some time. We deal with flour mostly, which means there is always a bit of dust in the air no matter how much we sweep. It’s just part of the job when you’re milling things. The street downstairs is always crowded with people buying and selling all sorts of stuff. Sometimes it takes a while just to get through the front door. We aren't some big corporate office with glass walls. It’s just a room where we get the work done. The machines make a lot of noise, so we have to talk loud to hear each other. We try to keep things organized, but when orders come in fast, it gets a bit chaotic. That’s just life in the city. We’ve got our routine down now. We show up early, check the stock, and start the day. Being in such an old part of town means things don't always work perfectly, like the power cutting out or the lift being slow, but we make do. It’s honest work and we like being part of the history of this street. It isn't fancy but it's ours.
