Singh Crane Lifters

We are based out of Cossipore at 24 B T Road, right opposite the PWD Tower and the Boroline factory. It’s a pretty busy stretch of road and we are right in the middle of it. At Singh Crane Lifters, we deal with heavy lifting day in and day out. Our yard is usually full of trucks and crane parts. It’s a gritty kind of job. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating where the next crane needs to go. Sometimes the traffic on B T Road makes it really hard to get the equipment out on time, so we have to start very early in the morning. The guys who work here are used to the noise and the dust. We don't have much of a front office, just a desk with a lot of papers and some old calendars on the wall. We mostly work with local builders and people who need to move heavy machinery into their shops. It is a lot of physical labor, checking chains and making sure the hooks are secure. We’ve been in Cossipore for a long time, so we know most of the people around here. It is not the cleanest job, but it is necessary. When the monsoon hits, everything gets much slower because of the mud and the slippery roads. We just keep going, trying to finish one job before moving to the next.
