Down at No. 1B Dr. Diresh Guha Street, you’ll find our office for A F Crane Services. We deal with heavy lifting, mostly. If someone has a big load that a regular truck can't handle, they call us. We have the cranes and the operators who know how to move stuff without making a mess of things. It's a tricky business because you have to be careful every single time. One small mistake and things get expensive or dangerous. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment because cranes need a lot of oiling and checking. The street here can get tight, so moving the big rigs out in the morning takes some skill. We’ve been doing this for a while, and we know the city roads pretty well by now. We don't do much advertising, mostly just word of mouth from people who needed a lift before. It’s not a glamorous job. You’re out in the sun or the rain, looking up at cables and hooks all day. We just make sure the job gets done so the construction or the moving can stay on schedule. Sometimes we work nights if the traffic rules say we can't move the machines during the day. It’s just us, the cranes, and a lot of heavy steel. That's life on Dr. Diresh Guha Street for us. We keep our tools ready and wait for the next big project to start.
