Simla Fine Tea Private Limited

We’ve been here at 72 Bentick Street for a while now. Most people around here still know this place as the old P16 spot, but the numbers changed recently. It is a very busy part of Kolkata, with lots of people moving back and forth all day. We handle tea here at Simla Fine Tea. It is not a fancy office or a corporate showroom, just a regular workplace where we deal with the daily chores of moving tea around. The stairs in this building are a bit narrow and steep, and the noise from the traffic outside never really stops. We spend most of our time checking samples and talking to the suppliers about the latest crops. Sometimes the fans don't work right when it gets really hot in the afternoon, but we just keep at it. People stop by to talk about different leaves and the current prices in the market. It is just how we do things every day. Bentick Street has a lot of history, and we are just one small part of that old story. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the paperwork is done and the tea gets to where it needs to go on time. It is straightforward work with no shortcuts. Most days are pretty long, especially when the new shipments come in from the gardens. We drink a lot of tea ourselves, mostly to keep our energy up.
