Shis Eye Care Hospital

Shis Eye Care Hospital is located out in Village Kanthalia. It is near the Bhangar College area, specifically around Ghatakpukur. We are not in a big city center, which is why we started here. People in the village and the surrounding parts of Kashipur should not have to travel for hours just to get their eyes checked. The building is simple, reflecting the area we are in. We have the basic equipment needed to check vision and look for common eye problems. It is usually pretty quiet around here, except when the college students are passing by. We see a lot of older folks who are having trouble seeing things up close or have cataracts. We also see kids who cannot see the blackboard at school. The staff is mostly local, so we speak the same language and understand the local way of life. We do not have fancy waiting rooms with televisions. Usually, people just sit and chat while they wait their turn. The road to Kanthalia can be a bit dusty depending on the season, but we try to keep the interior clean and welcoming. We are just a small hospital trying to help our neighbors keep their sight. It is not a glamorous job, but it is necessary. We open early most days to beat the heat.
