Sapid Software Private Limited is based at 7, Grant Lane in Kolkata. Grant Lane is one of those narrow, busy streets you find in the heart of the city, near the 700012 area. It’s an old part of town, and the building reflects that history quite a bit. We aren't in some brand-new glass box. Our office has walls that have seen a lot of years. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the software we are trying to develop and the hardware we have laying around. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. It’s just us, the developers and staff, trying to make sure the code works. The noise from the street below can be a lot, but you get used to the sounds of tea sellers and horns after a while. We chose this spot because it's central, even if it's a bit tucked away and hard to find for some people. Working in software here means dealing with lots of small problems throughout the day until something finally clicks. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep the fans going when it gets humid in the afternoons. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s where we get things done and we are happy with that. We’ve been here for a while now, just another small business on Grant Lane, doing what we know how to do without any extra fuss or ceremony. That’s just how we run things here.
