Santos Varnish Pvt. Ltd. is located right on Chanditala Main Road, specifically at Plot No 18/14. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always busy with people, buses, and rickshaws. Our space is pretty packed with cans and batches of varnish drying in the back. The smell is quite strong, but it's something you just get used to after working here for a week. We’ve been running things from this exact spot for a good while. It's definitely not a showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a working floor where the actual mixing and packing happen every day. Most of us have been here for years and know exactly which tin goes where without having to look too hard at the labels. Sometimes the heavy rain makes the road messy, and loading the trucks becomes a real pain for everyone involved. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s a local operation through and through, nothing corporate or polished about it. We have a small wooden table in the corner for our tea breaks. That’s where we sit and talk about the day’s work or the terrible traffic outside. The neighbors know us well since we’ve been at this plot for such a long time. We don’t do any advertising or social media stuff. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they saw the sign while stuck in traffic on the main road. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy.
