Sankara Nethralaya

You can find Sankara Nethralaya at 147 Mukunda Pur in the N/l Purbo Jadavpur P.s. area. It’s a busy location, especially with the police station nearby. We have been working out of this building for some time now. It’s mostly dedicated to eye care, so we have a lot of specialized equipment tucked away in different rooms. The hallways are a bit narrow and they get crowded when there are a lot of families waiting. We have some simple chairs in the lobby, but they fill up fast. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but that’s how it is in a place like this. We spend our days going from one room to another, checking people's vision and writing down notes. It’s not a quiet place. There is always someone talking or a phone ringing. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long, but some days are just slower than others. The staff is a mix of young and old folks. We share a small kitchen area where we have our tea and talk about the day. Mukunda Pur is a growing area, so we see a lot of new faces along with the regulars. We don't have any fancy posters or big advertisements on the outside. Just the name of the place and the address. We just focus on the people who come in and the work we have to do.
