Saltlake Eye Foundation

Saltlake Eye Foundation is tucked away in Sector III, specifically at Ia-173 Salt Lake. It’s a quieter part of the city compared to some, but we still stay plenty busy. Our office is set up in a way that feels more like a house than a cold hospital. We have plants in the corners that one of the nurses tries to keep alive, though she forgets to water them sometimes. The waiting area has some old wooden benches and a few newer chairs we added last year. Most people coming here are looking for help with their vision, whether it’s just needing a stronger pair of glasses or something more specific. We handle the eye exams and the fittings right here. Sometimes the computer system is a bit slow and we have to wait for it to load, which gives us time to chat with the patients about their day. It’s a relaxed atmosphere for the most part, unless we have a particularly big crowd on a Saturday morning. We aren't a giant institution with hundreds of beds, just a focused eye clinic in Salt Lake. We like it that way because we get to know the people who come back year after year. It’s just a normal business run by normal people who happen to know a lot about eyes. We do our best to keep things simple and helpful for everyone who visits us.
