Retailer

So, we are over at 42/1/3/1, Karunamoyee Ghat Road in Kolkata. It’s a busy street and there’s always something going on outside the door. We call the place Retailer because that is exactly what we do. We sell things to people in the neighborhood. It isn't a massive shop with bright lights and music playing, just a regular place where you can get what you need. We’ve been here in the 700082 area for a long time and we know a lot of the people who walk by every morning. The shop is usually open early and we stay until fairly late in the evening. There are stacks of boxes around and sometimes it's a bit crowded inside if a delivery just arrived. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team, it’s just us handling the counter and stocking the shelves. Most days are about chatting with the regulars and making sure we have enough stock for the next day. Kolkata can be quite humid, so the shop gets a bit stuffy, but we don't mind much. It’s a local business through and through. We deal with all sorts of customers, from people just passing through to families who have lived on Karunamoyee Ghat Road for generations. We just keep things running as best as we can without any corporate talk. It’s honest work and we like being part of the community here.
