At Red Indian Tea Co., we spend our days at No. 17 Asutosh Mukherjee Road. This road is always buzzing with activity, so there is never a dull moment outside our door. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the traffic anymore. Our focus is entirely on tea. We handle different blends and make sure everything is packed up correctly. The smell of tea leaves is pretty much always in the air here. It’s a very old-fashioned kind of business in some ways. We don’t have a lot of high-tech gadgets or a polished lobby. It’s a working space with bags and boxes everywhere. We take our work seriously but we don’t feel the need to be corporate about it. We’re just people who know a lot about tea and want to get it out to the people who drink it. The building itself has its own character, with high ceilings and old windows. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty, but that’s part of being in an older part of the city. We like the location because it’s easy for deliveries to reach us, even if the parking is a bit of a nightmare. We keep things simple and honest. No big slogans or flashy ads for us. Just the daily routine of checking the stock and talking to our suppliers. It’s a good life here on Asutosh Mukherjee Road and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
