If you know this part of the city, you know the streets are narrow and the buildings are packed close together. It is a very busy area, full of old charm and a lot of hustle. Qmsys Corp operates out of this space, and it is a pretty grounded way to work. There are no fancy elevators or big lobbies here. You just walk in and see people busy with their tasks. The neighborhood has a lot of history, and you can feel it when you walk down the street to get some lunch. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets flooded after a heavy rain, but that is just life in Kolkata. We don’t try to pretend we are anything we aren’t. It is a simple setup where the focus is on getting things finished. We have our desks, our computers, and the sounds of the city coming through the windows. It is not the quietest place to be, but it feels real. Being on Harsi Street puts us close to everything, even if the traffic is a nightmare most of the time.
