Proton

If you’re walking down R. R. Road, you might pass by 4/1-A without thinking much about it. That’s where we are. Proton is a small operation, and we’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time. The building is just a standard place, nothing fancy to look at from the street. Inside, it’s mostly desks and the sound of people working. R. R. Road can be a bit of a bottleneck during rush hour, so we’ve learned to time our arrivals and departures just right. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just a handful of us making sure everything runs like it's supposed to. We don't go in for big advertisements or flashy signs. Most people who know about us found out through word of mouth or because they live nearby. We handle our daily tasks, drink too much tea, and try to stay on top of the pile of work that never seems to get smaller. It’s a simple life in a busy part of town. Sometimes the internet goes out or the power flickers, and we just deal with it and move on. That’s the reality of running a business like this. We like the independence of being here, even if it means more work for everyone involved. It’s just how things are at Proton. We show up every day and do what needs doing until it's time to go.
