Premier X-Ray Clinic

Lenin Sarani is one of those streets that never seems to stop moving. Our clinic is at 115E, tucked in among all the other shops and old buildings. We do X-rays here, mostly for people who get sent over by doctors in the area. The machines take up a lot of the room and we have to be careful with how everything is set up. It is a bit of an older building, so the walls are thick and the ceilings are high. We have been here long enough that the paint is starting to look a bit dull in the corners. It is a busy place. People come in with envelopes and wait their turn on the wooden benches. We do not have a big fancy waiting room with a TV. It is just a place to get your scan done and go. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you can hear the buses honking even through the walls. We spend a lot of time in the darkroom or looking at films. It is straightforward work. We are not doing anything revolutionary, just taking the pictures the doctors need to see. Usually, there is a bit of a queue in the mornings. We try to get through it as fast as we can without rushing the technical side. It is just a regular Kolkata clinic on a very busy road, and we have been part of this street for years now.
