Our place is located over in Bangur Avenue, specifically at 194/6 in Block B. If you know the Kolkata 700055 area, you already know it can get a bit crowded and noisy around here most days. We’ve been operating this unit under the GPT Health Care name for a good while now. It’s a busy building with a lot of movement. There is always someone coming in or going out, usually looking for some kind of help with their health or a family member. We have doctors and staff running around the hallways most of the morning, trying to keep track of everything. It’s definitely not a quiet or relaxing job, that’s for sure. We try to keep the waiting area as organized as we can, but on Monday mornings, it usually turns into a bit of a scramble with everyone arriving at once. We aren't trying to be one of those huge, cold hospitals where you just feel like a number on a page. We’re just a local health unit right here in the neighborhood. People from the nearby blocks come to us because they know exactly where we are and who we are. Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly and we have to get the old backup generator started, which is always a bit of a loud headache for everyone. The staff stays really busy with all the paperwork and just looking after whoever walks in the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone too, talking to worried families and trying to fix the schedules.
