Prasad Tea Agro

We are located at 46/9, S.N. Banerjee Road. It’s a busy part of the city, and you can always hear the horns and people shouting outside our windows. Prasad Tea Agro is basically just a place where we deal with tea all day long. The smell of the dry leaves is something you never really get used to, but it’s not bad. We have sacks of tea stacked up in the back and on the sides. Some days we are busy sorting through batches and other days we are just waiting for the trucks to show up. The air is always a bit dusty from the tea particles, so we keep the fans going. It’s an old building, so the walls have some cracks and the floor is a bit uneven in places. We’ve been here for a good while, and the people on the street know who we are. We don't do much fancy advertising; people just find us through word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we have to wait it out. We just sit on the bags and talk until the lights come back on. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We aren't looking to change much about how we do things. It’s a simple business focused on the tea we get in. We just try to make sure everything is handled properly before it goes out. Sometimes the rain leaks in, but we have plastic covers for that.
