Our office is at 23/54 on Gariahat Road. If you know the area, you know how busy the street gets with all the shoppers and the traffic. It is a loud part of town, but once you get inside, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards clicking and the hum of the air conditioner. We have been in this building for quite a while now. It’s an old place with high ceilings and narrow stairs. We do mostly IT work and tech support here. The rooms are filled with old monitors, tangled cables, and desks that have seen better days. There are about six of us working here most days. We don't really bother with decorations or anything like that. There’s a calendar on the wall from three years ago that nobody bothered to take down. We spend a lot of time looking at code and trying to figure out why things aren't loading properly. Lunch is usually something quick brought from home or picked up from a vendor on the street. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons during the summer, so we keep the blinds closed most of the time. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We are just a small group of people who know their way around a computer. It is a simple life and we like the routine of coming in and getting the work done. The tea guy comes around at four, and that is usually the highlight of our day.
