We are based at 1/1 Dehi Shri Ram Pur Road in Kolkata. This is an Osim India branch, and we fall under the Paramount Surgimed umbrella. The building is older, like many in this part of the city, and it has that specific Kolkata character to it. We deal with various types of health equipment here. Every morning, we open up the doors and start checking the inventory. The road outside can get a bit crowded with rickshaws and people walking by, but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. We have a few rooms where we keep the stock and a small area for the staff to sit and work on the computers. It’s not a shiny showroom; it’s more of a functional office where we handle the logistics and the sales for the region. We often have to move heavy boxes around, so it keeps us on our feet. There is a lot of back-and-forth communication with the main office, but we mostly just manage things locally. When the weather gets really hot, we rely on the old ceiling fans to keep us cool while we type up reports or talk to customers. It is a simple way of working, focusing on the equipment we have and making sure the people who need it actually get it without any trouble.
