Ortus Health Care

Ortus Health Care is located at No. 13 A/1 Narayan Roy Road, right in the Behala Sakher Bazar area. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there are always people walking past the front door. Inside, we try to keep things as tidy as possible. There’s a small seating area where people wait, and the walls are mostly plain. We spend most of our day handling paperwork or talking to people who come in for help. The floor is white tile, and it shows every bit of dirt, so we end up sweeping a lot more than you’d think. Sakher Bazar is a place where everyone seems to be in a hurry, but once they step inside, things quiet down a little bit. We have a few cabinets filled with supplies and a desk that usually has too many pens on it. The windows look out onto the street, so we see the rickshaws and the buses going by all afternoon. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we do our work. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just a practical space meant for what we do. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just how things go around here. We are just local people working in the community we live in, keeping things running as best as we can.
