Obiter Infotech Private Limited is on the 4th floor of the building at 7A, Hospital Street in Kolkata. It’s a very old part of the city, and the street is always packed with people and cars from morning until night. Our office isn't particularly big or modern, but it’s where we get things done. We have a small crew of people who have been working together for quite some time now. We handle various info-tech tasks, which mostly involves a lot of data work and software troubleshooting. The lift in the building is a bit old, so some of us just take the stairs for the exercise. Inside the office, it’s a bit of a mess with cables and old computer parts, but we know where everything is. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or brand-new carpets because we’d rather focus on the technical side of things. It’s a noisy location, but you get used to the sounds of the horns and the shouting from the market below. We don't have a mission statement or a bunch of slogans on the walls. We just come in, check the emails, and start working on whatever needs fixing that day. It’s a practical way to run a business, and it’s kept us going for years.
