You can find us at 53 Judge Bagan, over in the Haridevpur area of Kolkata. It is a proper old neighborhood with narrow lanes and lots of trees hanging over the walls. The building is an older style house that has been converted to handle our daily tasks. It gets very humid here, especially during the monsoon months, and the walls sometimes have that damp smell that is so common in Bengal. We do not have any air conditioning in the main room, just the big ceiling fans that hum all day long. The local postman knows us well because we get a lot of mail delivered to this address for the company. We usually start the day with some tea from the shop at the corner before we dive into the records and sorting. The space is a bit cramped with all the boxes and files we have collected over time. It is a very lived-in environment. Sometimes the power cuts out for an hour, and we just sit on the balcony and watch the traffic go by until it comes back on. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing team or anything like that. We just do our work from this little corner of the city and try to keep things moving as best as we can. It is a simple life in a busy part of Kolkata. We just show up and get through the papers.
