We are tucked into 541 A 4E Laxmi Towers over on Rabindra Sarani. If you know that part of Kolkata, you know it is always humming with people and cars. The noise from the street usually makes its way up to the office, so it’s never really silent here. We are on the 4th floor, so we get a bit of a view of the rooftops around us. It’s a typical city office—not too much space, but enough to fit our desks and the few computers we use. We’ve been in Laxmi Towers for a while now. The building has seen better days, but it’s a solid place to work. We don't have a big receptionist or a waiting area with magazines. Usually, if you come in, you just find one of us working and we’ll look up and see what you need. We aren't a big corporation with millions of rules. We just have our way of doing things that seems to work for us. Most of our day is spent coordinating different tasks and making sure everything is moving along. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay organized, even if the piles of paper on the desks suggest otherwise. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. No one here is trying to be a big shot. We’re just local folks working in a busy part of the city, trying to keep things steady and handle the work as it comes in.
