We set up Ninja Kraft Web Services (Opc) Private Limited in Shubham Apartment on Alipore Road. We’re on the second floor, in Flat No. 2E. It’s a decent enough spot in Kolkata-700027, and being in an apartment building means it feels a lot more like a home than a stiff office. We do a lot of web-related work here, sitting at our desks and staring at monitors for most of the day. It’s a quiet environment for the most part, though you can hear the city noise from Alipore Road if the windows are open. We didn’t want to be in one of those huge business parks where you feel like just another number. Here, we can set our own pace and actually talk to each other without having to schedule a formal meeting. Most of our work comes from word of mouth or people who know someone who worked with us before. We don't have a big advertising budget or a team of sales people. It’s just us, some good computers, and the internet. We spend a lot of time testing things and making sure websites don't break when people try to use them. It’s not always exciting work, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we take the stairs, which is probably good for us anyway since we sit down so much.
