Nepuchapur Tea Co. Ltd.

Our office is on the second floor at 5-A, N.C. Dutta Sarani. It’s an older building, so you usually have to walk up the stairs if you aren't feeling patient with the lift, but we’re used to it by now. Nepuchapur Tea Co. Ltd. has been operating from this space for quite some time. It isn't a huge place, just a few rooms where we handle all the accounts and the tea business stuff. The light comes in okay through the windows in the afternoon, which is nice. We spend most of our mornings going through ledgers and talking to the people at the estates. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic on N.C. Dutta Sarani, but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just the sound of people working and the occasional phone ringing. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights outside. Most people who come here already know which floor to find us on. We’ve got some old furniture that’s been here since we first started, and it works fine for what we need. It’s just a normal workplace. We handle the shipments and the paperwork every single day. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the tea gets from the gardens to wherever it needs to go next. It’s a lot of routine, but we like it that way. It keeps us busy and the days go by pretty fast when there is a lot to do. We just keep the files moving and the work gets done.
