Neelam Store

Neelam Store is located at Shop Number 57 inside the Lake Garden Super Market at 114A. It’s a very busy market environment with all sorts of noise. There are stalls and different shops all around us. We are tucked into a small corner, but we really make the most of the space we have. We sell daily items that people need for their kitchens and their homes. It’s mostly things like grains, spices, and small household packets. The market gets incredibly crowded during the weekends. You can hear everyone haggling over prices and talking loudly. We have been here for quite some time now. Our customers are regular people from the Lake Garden area who know us well. They know exactly where to find what they need. The shop is quite small, so we have to stack our goods all the way up to the ceiling. We use a tall ladder just to reach the top shelves most days. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two or three people are inside at once. We don't have a modern computer system for sales. We just remember the prices or look at the small labels we put on things. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I suppose, but it works well for our needs. We start early in the morning to get the fresh stock organized before the crowds arrive. The air in the market is always full of different smells.
