Neelachal

Neelachal is located at 2, Jadu Nath Dey Road, which is a place that feels like it has been around forever. Our building is one of those older structures with high ceilings and thick walls. We’ve been operating here for a while, and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. Every morning starts with unlocking the heavy doors and letting some fresh air in. The street outside gets busy pretty early, so there is always a background noise of people talking and vehicles passing by. Inside, it’s a bit quieter. We have desks that have been here since we started and they’ve got plenty of scratches to show for it. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. It’s more about just having a place to get the work done. We keep our records in big folders and the cabinets are pretty full. Sometimes we have to move stacks of paper just to find a place to put a cup of tea. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly where the floorboards creak. We see a lot of familiar faces because the people around here don't tend to move away much. We aren't trying to be anything big or flashy. We just keep the doors open and do what needs to be done each day on Jadu Nath Dey Road. It’s a steady way to live and we’re used to the rhythm of this street.
