We are over at 12, India Exchane Place, up on the second floor. It’s an old building, the kind where you can feel the history in the walls and the floorboards. Most days start pretty early around here because the tea trade doesn't really wait for anyone. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and checking bags that come in. It’s not a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. We have some desks, a lot of paper, and boxes of tea everywhere you look. People stop by, some we’ve known for years and others just passing through the area. Sometimes the fans are humming, and sometimes it's just the sound of the street noise coming up from below. We’ve been at this for a while now. Dealing with tea is just what we do. It’s dusty work sometimes, and your hands end up smelling like dried leaves by the end of the afternoon. We don’t really do much advertising because most folks know where to find us if they need something. It's just a regular workplace where we get on with things. The 2nd floor location keeps us a bit away from the direct chaos of the street, but you can still hear the taxis and the shouting. We keep the kettle going for ourselves and whoever walks in the door. It's a simple setup, really. We just work here.
