Our office is over in Garia, specifically in Mahal Appartment at Vivekanand Park. We are on the second floor in flat A2. It is a very residential part of Kolkata, which makes for a pretty quiet workday compared to the city center. Vivekanand Park is right there, so sometimes we walk over there for a bit of air when the weather isn't too hot. The apartment isn't very big, so we have had to be creative with how we set up the desks and the server rack in the corner. It’s definitely a home-grown sort of operation. We started this because we wanted a place where we could do IT work without the hassle of a giant corporate office. Here, we can just be ourselves. We wear casual clothes and talk like normal people. There is no corporate ladder here, just a group of us trying to solve IT problems and keep our clients' systems running. The building is a standard apartment block, so we share the space with families and retired folks. It’s a nice mix. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, one of us will just get up from our desk to say hello. We spend most of our time on the phones or typing away at the keyboards. It’s simple, it’s local, and it’s how we like to do things. We just focus on the IT tasks and keep it all uncomplicated.
