Mainak Tea

Our office is located at 11 Jassal House on Auckland Square. It’s one of those older buildings that has been around for a long time. Mainak Tea has been operating from here, and it’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the busier parts of the city. We spend our days surrounded by tea samples and big bags of leaves. The smell of tea is everywhere in the office. It’s 4A-Auckland Square, which is a nice enough area with some trees around. We don't have any flashy signs or a big storefront. It's mostly just desks, chairs, and lots of tea tasting cups. We spend a lot of time talking to the gardens and checking on the quality of the batches that come in. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to carry things up the stairs, which is quite a workout. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We know each other well and it feels more like a small family than a business. We have our tea breaks together, obviously. We don't do much advertising; most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. The paperwork gets piled up on the desks, and it can be a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It’s just a simple place where we focus on the tea.
