You can find Rk Computer Technology over on Mahatma Gandhi Road, specifically at number 129/7. We are up on the second floor, right across from Cotton House. It’s a busy part of the city, so you have to look for the sign carefully when you’re walking by. We spend most of our time looking at screens and fixing parts that stopped working properly. Computers can be a real headache when they don't do what they are supposed to do. We’ve seen all kinds of problems over the years here, from broken keyboards to things we can't even name. The shop isn't huge but we have enough space for our tools and the parts we need. Being on the second floor means it's a bit quieter than the street level downstairs, which helps when you're trying to concentrate on a motherboard. People usually come to us because something broke or they need an upgrade to keep things running fast. We don't use big fancy words to explain what's wrong. We just tell you what we see and what can be done about it. It’s practical work. Every day is a bit different because you never know what kind of machine is going to come through the door. Sometimes it’s an easy fix and other times it takes a lot of patience. We just keep at it until the job is done. MG Road is always moving, but inside the shop, things are a bit more focused on the hardware. It's what we know.
