You can find us over at 42/1G P.G.H. Shah Road, right in the Jadavpur area of Kolkata. It is a busy part of town, especially with the university students always walking around. We handle info services, similar to other offices in the city, but we focus on our own list of regular clients. The office is on a street that gets quite a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. We are not a big corporate entity with a fancy lobby and a security guard. It is more of a walk-in kind of place where things are a bit informal. We spend our days managing databases and sorting through various information tasks on the computer. It is steady work that requires a lot of sitting down and looking at screens for hours. Some of us have been working here for years, so we are like a small family. We do not have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just explain what we do to whoever asks. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of filing cabinets and some old computers we have not thrown away yet. Jadavpur is a great place to work because there is always somewhere to grab a quick snack or a cup of tea. We like being part of this neighborhood. It is not a flashy business, just people working hard.
