Our office is located at 74/6A Bagbazar Street in Kolkata. Bagbazar is one of those old parts of the city with a lot of history and narrow, winding streets. We deal with information services, which basically means a lot of data entry and keeping records straight for the clients who use us. It is not the kind of work that makes headlines, but it is important for the people we help every day. The building we are in has been around for ages. It has high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a bit of a breeze. Sometimes the ceiling fans are a bit noisy, but we do not mind much. We are a small team, mostly local folks who live a few stops away on the tram or bus. We are not trying to be some big multinational company. We just want to do a good job and keep our customers coming back. You will not find any fancy slogans or marketing posters here. We just sit at our desks and get through the files. Lunchtime is usually spent chatting about local news or whatever is happening on the street outside. It is a friendly atmosphere, even when the workload gets a bit heavy during the end of the month. We have seen many businesses come and go on Bagbazar Street, but we have managed to stay put by just being consistent with our work.
