M. L. Roy & Co. (Neycer Dept.) Pvt. Ltd. is situated at No. 28, College Street. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the book stalls and students walking around. Our building is right in the middle of that energy. We’ve been here a long time, and the place definitely shows its age. The walls are thick and the ceilings are high, which helps keep it cool when the sun is beating down on the street outside. We handle things for the Neycer department here. It’s mostly keeping track of shipments and talking to customers on the phone. The sounds of the trams and the shouting vendors come in through the windows all day. It’s a bit chaotic, but we’re used to it by now. We don’t have any modern cubicles or anything like that. It’s just big tables and shelves full of folders. Sometimes we have to move stacks of paper just to find a place to sit. We get our lunch from the local shops nearby. It’s a very traditional way of working. We don’t bother with much technology unless we absolutely have to. Most of what we do is based on long-term relationships we’ve built over decades. People know where to find us. No. 28 has been our home for a while, and we don't plan on moving. It’s just how we do things. We just come in and get to it.
