M K B (Asia) Private Limited is based out of Gillander House, specifically at Me-1 on 8, N. S. Road. This building has so much history to it, and you can really feel it in the high ceilings and the way the hallways are laid out. N. S. Road is always packed with people, so there is a constant hum of activity outside our windows. Inside, the desks are arranged in a way that lets us talk to each other without having to get up. It makes things easier when we are trying to sort out schedules or paperwork. Because we’ve been at this for a while, we have a lot of old files kept in the back. The lighting in Gillander House is a bit dim in some parts, but our office is bright enough. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. It’s mostly just functional furniture and computers. The lift in the building is one of those old-fashioned ones that takes a bit of time, so many of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. Lunchtime usually involves someone bringing in food or grabbing something from the vendors nearby. It's a very traditional business area, and being at this address feels right for the kind of work we do. Without a lot of frills, it is just a solid place to work every day.
